Demonstrations in the sky theatre and with the Foucault pendulumThe planetarium demonstrates the night sky for an observator at different latitudes from the Equator to the North Pole of the Earth, the visible twenty-four-hour movement of the stars, sky co-ordinates, the position of the Sun at different moments of the year. With a special projector the visible and actual movements of the planets in the Solar system are shown, and by a video projector we present images of cosmic objects, which are either received from the biggest telescopes in the world or taken by spacecrafts and automatic stations. In the sky theatre movies and cartoons are presented too. With the Foucault pendulum an evidence for the movement of the Earth around its axis is demonstrated. The visitors can look at 13 boards with pictures and explanations about the sky objects. Lectures and explanations can be presented in Bulgarian, Russian, French, German and English.
